The SnagIt Catalog Browser

The SnagIt catalog browser is pretty handy for looking through a lot of files at once. You can get to it from the main SnagIt window. Just click on SnagIt Catalog Browser.

Then, all you have to do is browse through your directories in the Explorer-type window on the left and look at thumbnails of your files on the right.

You can also change the size of thumbnails to view:

You can print or copy or scan files using this browser or launch the Batch Conversion Wizard or any number of other file modification things. Using the View menu you can set the thumbnail size or choose to filter what kinds of files are shown or choose to arrange the icons a certain way.

I like the fact that you can grab a file out of a folder you are viewing and drag and drop it into an editing application.

You can also right-click on any images in the browser and modify them in a similar way to what the Batch Conversion Wizard can do.
