An easy way to view a large group of pictures with Irfanview is by using the Thumbnail Viewer. Once you have installed Irfanview you will find this Thumbnail Viewer installed along with it:
![]()
Once you open up the Thumbnail Viewer you can browse to a directory on your computer that has some pictures using the explorer type window on the left and then you will see the images in the window on the right.
![]()
That is nothing special. You can use Windows Explorer to do that. What is special is the size of the thumbnails you can look at. I configured mine to show the pictures at 200×200 pixels in size (Options > Set thumbnail options…). I love it because I can quickly scroll through a lot of pictures and see which ones are trash without having to even open them.
Using the same options menu you could load all of the thumnails in the subfolders as well, making it easy to browse a large group of folders and subfolders at one time.
Irfanview is available free for personal use from www.irfanview.com
