This morning I downloaded and configured the Coppermine Photo Gallery. It is free, runs on PHP and MySQL, which my lunarpages.com account has, and is pretty user friendly. To get this and the blog software running I didn’t have to know jack about database stuff.
However, I have modified some of the look and feel of the theme, which is a fairly onerous process for someone that doesn’t know anything about style sheets, HTML or PHP. I am definitely learning!
I hope to have it configured pretty quick so that I can begin loading media. The few pics I have put up so far look pretty good. It seems easy to navigate the photo gallery. I need to make sure that each image comes in high resolution and low resolution. I wonder if the photo gallery has some way to help me do that?
Next step, make some navigation that ties all this different stuff together. Gulp.
