We go through lunarpages.com for our web hosting. They were the best deal I could find and offer a lot of free web dev software, storage and perks with annual contracts.
Of course the best place to get domains is Go Daddy.
It really doesn’t matter who you buy your domain from so there is no reason to pay Network Solutions $30 a year for a domain when Go Daddy will sell you one starting at $.99 (.info). Their .com domains are $9 per year and they have a cool contextual search function which can assist you in coming up with domain names.
They also sell hosting plans and there was only a hair’s difference between lunarpages.com and godaddy.com for hosting plans. The big deal for us was space and lunarpages offered a little more. With all of the images we needed lots of room. You could choose either company to host your site and you would be happy.
For purchase flash templates and other media
I have not tried any of the pre-made templates at this site yet but have looked around and they have some slick stuff that would make a nearly instant web site for someone who wanted to do something professional, fast and inexpensive.
